Chiropractic

Chiropractic got its start in 1897 and has become one of the fastest growing conservative health care professions in the world.   Chiropractic treats the body without drugs or surgery.  It includes hands on manipulation of a joint to correct misalignment, restore normal joint function and relieve nerve root impingement.  Typical treatment at a Chiropractic office may also include exercise, massage techniques, nutrition counseling, and various physical therapy modalities. Conditions typically treated by chiropractors include simple sprains all the way to severe herniated discs.   With our country's current opioid crisis, Chiropractors have become very popular as a way to treat soft tissue injures without drugs. A  Chiropractor is not limited to just neck or back pain.  Any joint, muscle, tendon, or ligament is a Chiropractors specialty.  A chiropractor can also order any diagnostic test that is needed for diagnostic purposes such as the MRI, CT scan, doppler ultrasound, blood work,  bone scan, ect.... If further attention is needed a Chiropractor knows what specialist to refer the patient to.

A chiropractor is a primary care physician.  That means they can treat you and order testing on their own with out any other doctors script.  Before a Chiropractor can practice in any state they must first graduate from a Chiropractic college, pass 4 national boards,  then pass a state board for each state they wish to practice in. Chiropractors must attend continuing educational classes  to keep up with the latest in health care before their license can  be renewed each year.
