Massage is defined as the rubbing and kneading of muscles and joints of the body with the hands, especially to relieve tension or pain. Massage fits in with Chiropractic beautifully. As the saying goes, they go together like peanut butter and jelly. As a chiropractor, we specialize in treatment of injuries to all muscles and joints. When we have a patient that has an excessive amount of tightness or spasms in the muscle surrounding the joint, we refer them to our on sight Massotherapists. Both of our Massotherapists are licensed and experienced. The massage they offer is a deeper medical type of massage designed to get to the root of the problem and break down stubborn muscle spasms that will delay healing. Studies overwhelmingly show the benefit of massage for treatment of muscle and joint pain. Click on the link below to review a study from The Scientific World Journal.
Another benefit from having massage services in our clinic with the same doctors is easy and quick communication among our providers. If the Massotherapist or Chiropractor wishes to discuss anything of importance about the patient it can happen immediately since they are under the same roof. There is no delay in communication as may be found in other clinics. Working together under one roof brings a better quality of care and faster healing.
You do not need a doctor’s script to receive massage if you are not using any insurance. This means if you wish to come in for a massage treatment only, you may do so by simply calling the clinic and setting up an appointment with one of our Massotherapists.
We are happy to offer this service for the benefit of our patients knowing it will only increase the quality of care and give a better experience.
